Hello everyone!
My name is Kristen Kline and I have degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education and a minor in Spanish from the University of Kentucky. I became interested in teaching professionally through a program at the University called the UK String Project that allowed me to gain valuable teaching experience while being mentored by master teachers. I was so inspired by teaching music to young students and so positively influenced that I decided to pursue Music Education and I have not looked back since then! Today I am still striving to become the best teacher that I can be and to continually learn more about the art of teaching. I am a strong believer in the amazing power that music can have in young student's lives. I find teaching music to be challenging, engaging, and incredibly rewarding! I am always amazed at how a teacher never stops learning from their students.
I also play violin professionally in the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra and in various functions and events. I am an outdoor enthusiast and an avid hiker and runner.
